Diane Marie Plante is part of the team of researchers of the UNESCO Chair on Open Science. Her work focusses on the transformation of interdisciplinary research practices in Canada and elsewhere in the world, and aims to better understand the mechanisms of knowledge production and dissemination associated with these practices. Her research concentrates on One Health. The title of the project is: L’interdisciplinarité comme vecteur de recherche pour une seule santé humaine, animale et environnementale ? Analyse scientométrique à l’échelle mondiale. (Interdisciplinarity as a research vector at the intersection of human, animal and environment for one health? A world-scale scientometric analysis.)

Diane Marie holds a Master’s degree in Health Sciences and a Master’s degree in Business Administration for both of which she was awarded excellence and research scholarships, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Orthopedagogics for which she also obtained excellence scholarships. Her academic background and experience led her to senior management positions in international health, notably in Europe in the field of immunology and in Canada in academia. At McGill University, her role proved pivotal in the creation and implementation of an innovative international Master’s for health leadership. The success of this world-renowned program lies in both the collaboration and the great diversity of disciplines, institutions and countries represented among students and faculty alike.

Diane Marie has been invited to present her doctoral research to international audiences, in particular, at the Centre National de Recherche Scientifique (CNRS-Paris). She also presented her doctoral research at Columbia University at the International Conference on Sustainable Development under the auspices of the United Nations (UN). Her professional and academic trajectory is centered on the advancement of knowledge for better health worldwide.
